The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

A robot vacuum/mop combination is the best solution for pets who shed fur. It can mop and vacuum, and even dry and clean its own dual mop pads.

It also has the most suction power of any robot we've tested, at 8,800Pa. It also allows you to set up cleaning schedules and save your house's maps through its app.

1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the most recent in the Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model is dry and wet. It includes the updated AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which offers enhanced mapping and obstruction-free operation. It uses dual laser LiDAR, similar to that used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan that is up to 32 feet by 360 degrees. This results in more precise mapping, faster response times, and better cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping pad constructed of chenille, which makes it easier to scrub tough spots than traditional mop. In my tests the X2 Omni washed its pad in less than a second and then got to work. I noticed that it was more precise than other models that seemed to follow the grid of rooms. It was able navigate corners and edges of my rooms, as well as make "Zambani patterns" both in and out of the middle of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station on a regular basis to empty the dustbin and clean the mop using hot water prior to starting another task of cleaning.

The X2 Omni is as simple to use and set up as the other Ecovacs products. It takes just minutes to secure the dock into its place, plug it into, and pair with your Wi-Fi network at home. After that, you can start the app and begin with your first cleaning project. I was able to dig into the settings and personalize my floor plan within about 15 minutes, incorporating zones that are restricted to sweep and mop and reworking my furniture placements, and so on. The X2 Omni performed impressively in my tests, achieving excellent scores in cleaning pet hair and debris cleaning and close to perfect results in cleaning crevices and edges.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

The T10 Omni from ECOVACS is a powerful vacuum and mopping machine. It is the most advanced model of the T-line of the brand and comes with the brand's new OZMO Turbo 2.0 mopping system which uses dual-spinning brushes for better cleaning than traditional oscillating scrubbing. It comes with YIKO, a natural language processing technology that is a first of its kind. It can respond to various voice commands. The ECOVACS App allows you to design your home, create cleaning schedules and modify settings.

The main flaw of the T10 Omni is that it's unable to switch between mopping and vacuuming in a single operation. Both modes require that you attach and take off the mop heads as needed which is great for most homes, but isn't suitable for people who lead busy lives.

However, the Deebot Omni is a fantastic robot vacuum that has impressive results in our pet hair tests. It was able to vacuum up more than 96% of the dust we tossed at it on our hardwood flooring and floors, which is a remarkable performance. It was a success on tiles and carpets and removed 99% of dirt.

This robot vacuum and mop has large docking systems that allows for automatic cleaning using cool water for the mop pads. It also has an auto-emptying 3L bag that is easy to replace, and hot air drying for quick and easy maintenance. It also has a large water tank that allows for more frequent rinses and dry between mopping runs.

The Deebot T10 comes with an integrated wash tray into its base, which is similar to other mopping robots. It makes use of the wash tray to wash and dry its mop pads while using them. But it doesn't use a removable tray, which means dirty water dust, dirt and other grime builds up in the bottom of the tray over time.

3. RoboVac X8 hybrid

This is the first mopping model from Anker that is renowned for its robot vacuums. It comes with improved smarts, multiple map support and LIDAR scanning, in addition to twin-turbine suction technology that adjusts to the surface you're cleaning. It's a great mid-range robotic vacuum cleaner, even if it doesn't quite deliver on its promise of being the ultimate source for floor cleaning.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a traditional robotic vacuum cleaner from the top with its circular shape, sweeping wheels and a raised area for sensors. On the other side, you'll see a motorised floorbrush as well as a single side brush that moves dust from the edges to the main path of its'mouth.' It's smaller than the main brushes of the iRobot Roomba S9 which I found made it easier to reach under chairs and couches.

The mapping system is quite sophisticated that allows you to create no-mop zones, as well as specific cleaning zones. It has a habit of hitting objects, including its own charging station, and isn't very good at navigating over carpets. It was great at getting pet hair off of the floor. In our tests it was able to pick up 89.5% kitty litter.

The X8 Hybrid is controlled via an app, but it also has physical buttons on its base. These buttons allow you to select a cleaning mode or turn the robot off/on. These buttons can be used to create zones that are not allowed to be visited and to view real-time maps. It's a little chatty, and will let you know what it's going to do next ("start cleaning") or alert you that something's not right (it does not have enough power to charge, for example).

This high-tech vacuum model can pick up pet hair, kibble, and other messes with remarkable efficiency. It can also move effortlessly around furniture legs. It comes with a set of features that is impressive, such as two cleaning modes as well as an automatic docking station, and a real-time obstacle avoidance system. The Wi-Fi enabled device is controlled best through the Neato App which schedules cleanings and maintenance requirements are monitored. The X2 Omni is an excellent option for homes with a large a mix of hard carpet and floors, but it requires some planning ahead to avoid getting stuck on electrical cords, toys, or other obstacles that might be unexpected.

In our test of hardwood floors and kibble the robot performed very well and was able to take everything from one grain of rice up to many pieces of dog food in just one sweep. It had a bit of difficulty transitioning to carpets, however, this vacuum cleaner is perfect for rooms that have flooring of all kinds and a variety of pets.

The A4s Pro is expensive but it's an excellent option for those who wish to to leave the house with no hands on so they can get out and do other things or perform household chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that boosts suction to get rid of difficult dirt or spills. It also comes with a battery powered ElectroWall to establish boundaries for the robot vacuum and mop for pet hair.

This budget-friendly choice from a well-known upstart brand is the cheapest model we've tested to date and offers an outstanding value for money. Its navigation system is basic and uses a super-basic random pathing algorithm, but it doesn't have room mapping capabilities, which makes it less efficient than other models on this list. However, it's still able to navigate under furniture and into corners, and its mopping mode was very effective in our testing, picking up stray pet hair and other debris easily.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ isn't as well-built as the Roomba S9, but it is superior in general at getting rid of pet hair from all surfaces. It gets rid of floors with less thoroughly and does a good job on carpets with a low pile, and it utilizes smart-pathing navigational technology to provide greater maneuverability. It also allows you to transfer it to a particular room, and its sophisticated suite of automation features includes no-go zones and scheduling. It lets you stop and robot vacuum mops restart cleaning sessions which is ideal for homes with pets.

Its self cleaning brushroll prevents tangles and can hold up to 30 day's worth of dirt. It also has an assortment of angled side brushes that dig deep into corners, and its multi-stage filter system is able to capture dust, dander, and allergens for a cleaner air.

This robot vacuum feels solid and robot vacuum mops well-built. It has a smartphone app that enables you to change the settings of your vacuum and schedule cleaning sessions in advance. The app allows you to view the remaining battery life of the iQ and also receive push notifications when it encounters any issues during the cleaning session. You can also control it using your voice via an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don't have either of these devices you can mark out areas with physical boundary markers strips.

The iQ is great at cleaning bare floors, and does well on carpets with low pile and shaggy edges. However, it doesn't offer the same level of autonomy as our top selections. It's also expensive and the cost of recurring use can be quite costly.
